16 Juta Dosis Vaksin Sinovac Tiba di Indonesia
INFOKA.ID – Pemerintah Indonesia menerima 16 juta dosis bahan baku (bulk) vaksin Covid-19 dari Sinovac, Kamis (25/3/2021). Vaksin tersebut tiba menggunakan pesawat Garuda di Bandara Soekarno-Hatta, Tangerang, Banten, sekira pukul 12.00 WIB. Penerimaan ini merupakan tahap yang ketujuh.
“Hari ini kita berhasil mendatangkan vaksin Covid-19 tahap ketujuh dari keseluruhan tahap sebesar 16 juta vaksin dalam bentuk bulk,” kata Wakil Menteri Kesehatan Dante Harbuwono, seperti dikutip dari Kompas.com.
Dengan kedatangan vaksin tersebut, kata Dante, Indonesia telah mengantongi 53,5 juta dosis bulk vaksin Covid-19.
Selanjutnya, 16 juta dosis bulk vaksin yang baru tiba ini akan dibawa ke PT Bio Farma untuk dilakukan produksi.
“Tentu saja nanti setelah diproduksi, akan dievaluasi baik secara mutu, sebelum oleh BPOM (Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan) nanti akan dijadikan vaksin yang akan dipakai oleh masyarakat,” ucap Dante.
Ia mengatakan, ketersediaan vaksin sangat vital dalam program vaksinasi nasional. Dante berharap, semakin cepat vaksinasi selesai, herd immunity atau kekebalan komunal segera terbentuk.
Hingga saat ini, sudah 6 juta orang divaksinasi dan 3 juta diantaranya telah diberikan dosis kedua.
Berdasar evaluasi pemerintah, vaksinasi sudah nampak memberikan perkembangan positif seperti menurunkan penularan virus corona di kalangan tenaga kesehatan.
Vaksinasi juga disebut berhasil menurunkan kasus aktif Covid-19. (*)
