GULAMU, Jadi Wakil UNSIKA di Tingkat Nasional
INFOKA.ID – Ketika mengingat masa kanak-kanak, salah satu hal yang identik adalah beragamnya jenis makanan ringan atau yang sering kita sebut dengan “Jajanan”.
Jajanan yang selalu dikaitkan dengan anak-anak salah satunya ialah permen, sebab anak-anak cenderung menyukai makanan maupun minuman yang memiliki rasa bu manis.
Selain itu, permen juga memiliki penampilan fisik yang beragam dengan warna-warna yang terang sehingga sangat menarik perhatian bagi anak-anak, salah satunya adalah permen kapas atau gulali.
Gulali merupakan salah satu jenis jajanan yang sangat disukai anak-anak dan sudah sangat bersahabat dikalangan masyarakat dalam jangka waktu yang cukup lama.
Namun, banyak orang tua yang tidak mengizinkan anaknya untuk mengonsumsi gulali terlalu banyak. Hal ini dikarenakan bahan dasar gulali terbuat dari gula sehingga tidak jarang menyebabkan anak menjadi batuk hingga sakit tenggorokan.
GULAMU (Gulali Jamu), merupakan produk yang diciptakan oleh Fira Aulia Fatan, Febi Febriani Hasanah, Fitri Aida, Gisel Rizuna Qothrunnada, dan Herdiana Verliani yang merupakan mahasiswa Farmasi di Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang Angkatan 2019.
“Usaha GULAMU mulai berjalan pada bulan Agustus 2020 ketika kami sedang menjalankan libur semester genap tahun 2020. Nama GULAMU adalah perpaduan dari Gulali dan Jamu, yang artinya produk permen kapas ini tersedia dalam beberapa varian rasa jamu. Tujuannya adalah untuk melestarikan jajanan gulali namun diberikan sedikit inovasi dengan mengombinasikannya dengan jamu-jamuan. Sehingga, terbentuknya GULAMU diharapkan dapat menjadi opsi bagi orang tua dalam memberikan jajanan yang disukai anak namun juga memiliki manfaat baik untuk meningkatkan kesehatan anak,” kata mereka.
Proses pembuatan GULAMU sama seperti gulali pada umumnya, dibuat dari bahan dasar gula pasir dengan menggunakan mesin Cotton Candy. GULAMU memiliki berbagai macam varian rasa jamu diantaranya Jahe, Beras Kencur, Kunyit Asem, Madu, Temulawak, dan Mix rasa. Usaha GULAMU pun terus berjalan stabil meskipun pada masa pandemi Covid-19.
“Pada awal tahun 2021 kemendikbud membuka pendaftaran program SIM PKMI yang didalamnya ada KBMI. Kami menerima informasi terkait pendaftaran KBMI tersebut melalui WhatsApp grup Farmasi Unsika. Kami pun sangat tertarik dengan program KBMI tersebut karena sangat bersemangat ingin mengembangkan usaha GULAMU ini,” ujarnya.
Setelah melakukan pendaftaran kepada program studi dan mengirimkan proposal produk, kemudian diumumkan bahwa team mereka akan dibimbing langsung oleh ibu Marsah Rahmawati Utami, M.Si. salah satu dosen Farmasi Unsika.
Tim mereka pun lolos seleksi tingkat Universitas hingga akhirnya mewakili Unsika untuk seleksi tingkat nasional.
“Puji syukur kami berhasil didanai oleh DIKTI. Kami sangat Bahagia setelah melihat pengumuman pendanaan tersebut. Untuk itu kami sangat berterimakasih kepada seluruh pihak yang telah membantu kami untuk menyukseskan penyusunan proposal GULAMU. Kami juga sangat berterimakasih kepada KEMENDIKBUD, DIKTI, SIM PKMI, UNSIKA dan tak lupa Prodi FARMASI terkhusus dosen pembimbing kami yaitu ibu Marsah Rahmawati Utami, M.Si. atas semua arahan dan nasihat yang telah diberikan kepada kami,” ungkapnya.
Tidak hanya sampai mendapatkan dana dari dikti, mereka pun terus melakukan inovasi-inovasi baru untuk produk yang dijual.
“Mengingat dimasa pandemi yang belum juga berakhir ini, kita diharuskan untuk terus berpikir kreatif terutama bagi para pengusaha kecil keperti kami. Kami juga terus meningkatkan kualitas produk kami mulai dari kualitas saat produksi maupun kualitas setelah produksi atau saat penjualan. Dengan dana yang kami terima dari dikti, kami juga sudah meningkatkan sarana prasarana yang menunjang penjualan dan pemasaran produk GULAMU. Kami juga berharap semoga usaha GULAMU bisa terus berjalan stabil kedepannya. Sekali lagi kami ucapkan terima kasih kepada seluruh pihak yang telah mendukung kami,” pungkasnya. (rls)
