Menko Polhukam Sebut Persiapan PON dan Papernas di Papua Sudah 99 Persen
INFOKA.ID – Menteri Koordinator Politik, Hukum dan Keamanan (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD mengatakan, persiapan Pekan Olahraga Nasional (PON) dan dan Pekan Paralimpiade Nasional (Papernas) di Papua sudah mencapai 99 persen.
Menurut dia, sejumlah atlet dijadwalkan mulai tiba di Papua pada 20 September 2021.
Mahfud memastikan secara umum kondisi politik dan keamanan di Papua menjelang PON dan Papernas baik.
“Kita pastikan bahwa itu akan berjalan dengan baik. Saya selaku penanggung jawab di bidang keamanan sudah melakukan koordinasi secara rutin,” kata Mahfud dalam keterangan tertulisnya, Sabtu (4/9/2021).
Mahfud menuturkan berbagai potensi ancaman telah diantisipasi, sehingga pelaksanaan PON dan Papernas yang menjadi marwah dan kehormatan negara atas kedaulatan Indonesia di bumi Cendrawasih itu diharapkan berjalan dengan baik.
Terkait adanya kasus penyerangan di Posramil Kisor, Aifat, Kabupaten Maybarat, Papua Barat, Mahfud mengatakan bahwa itu menjadi perhatian dalam faktor kemanan.
Namun, dia memastikan tidak mempengaruhi rencana yang telah ditetapkan dalam kegiatan pengamanan dan keamanan yang dipersiapkan untuk PON dan Papernas.
Mahfud menambahkan, pelaksanaan PON tetap dilakukan dengan memperhatikan penerapan protokol kesehatan yang ketat.
“Karena situasinya masih dalam pandemi kalau terpaksa nanti ada protokol kesehatan yang ditegakkan di dalam seluruh venue yang menjadi tempat perlombaan, supaya dimaklumi dan supaya diikuti,” ujarnya.
Mantan Ketua Mahkamah Konstitusi itu juga tidak menghalangi masyarakat yang ingin menonton PON atau Papernas, tetapi tetap ada aturan yang harus diikuti.
“Tapi ada batasan-batasannya, batasan mengenai jumlah, mengenai jarak, antigen, atau PCR dan sebagainya sudah diatur dan disiapkan sebaik-baiknya,” ucap dia. (*)
